Alex Hagan Selected to Serve as 2015 IADC Trial Academy Faculty

Ellis & Winters is pleased to announce that Alex Hagan has been selected to serve as faculty for the 2015 International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy. The seven-day intensive program will take place in July 2015 at Stanford Law School in Stanford, California.
The IADC Trial Academy is one of the oldest and most respected programs for developing defense trial advocacy skills. The faculty consists of leading defense trial lawyers selected on a national basis from different regions of the country. Alex Hagan is one of only 16 lawyers chosen from across the country to serve as faculty for this prestigious honor.
About the IADC Trial Academy
The IADC Trial Academy was initiated by the International Association of Defense Counsel in 1973 at the University of Colorado in Boulder. After 31 years at that location, the Trial Academy moved to the prestigious Stanford Law School in Stanford, California in 2004.
The purpose of this continuing legal education program is to enhance advocacy trial skills of less experienced lawyers. The Academy provides intensive, comprehensive and participatory education to young defense trial lawyers. Its faculty members are experienced, well-recognized trial lawyers with extensive trial experience. They are drawn from different geographic areas and diverse practices, styles and personalities. Faculties and directors rotate on an annual basis. Ellis & Winters attorney Andrew Chamberlin served as faculty for the 2014 IADC Trial Academy.
About Alex Hagan
Alex Hagan is a trial lawyer whose practice includes product liability defense, as well as the defense of laboratories, hospitals, and individual health care providers. Additionally, Mr. Hagan has extensive commercial litigation experience, representing software manufacturers, retail chains, and other product manufacturers in contract, trademark and employment disputes. He has considerable jury trial experience in tort and commercial matters in both state and federal court. Mr. Hagan has been listed in North Carolina Super Lawyers Magazine and The Best Lawyers in America ® since 2006, having been named Best Lawyers’ 2015 Raleigh “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants.
