Ellis & Winters LLP recently served as lead counsel to Opus Inspection, Inc. and its parent company, Opus Group AB (publ), in connection with the acquisition of Envirotest Systems Holding Corp.  The acquisition was valued at approximately $90 Million and closed on February 28, 2014.  The acquisition includes approximately sixty properties owned by Envirotest and twenty-eight leased properties.  Open Inspection is headquartered in East Granby, Connecticut, and conducts vehicle inspection operations in twenty-one states along with operations in Peru, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada and Sweden. With the acquisition, Opus Inspection is the largest inspection business in the United States market. Opus Group AB (publ) is a Swedish company active in the global vehicle inspection industry and its shares are listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm.
