Kelly Margolis Dagger Appointed to EDNC Criminal Justice Act Panel Committee

Kelly Margolis Dagger was recently appointed to the Criminal Justice Act (“CJA”) Panel Committee for the Eastern District of North Carolina by Chief United States District Judge Terrence W. Boyle.

The CJA Panel is a group of attorneys eligible for appointment by the Court to represent federal criminal defendants who have a right to counsel but cannot afford to retain counsel.  The Committee considers applications to the Panel, engages in recruitment efforts, reviews the operation and administration of the Panel, and assists with training for Panel members, among other responsibilities.

Kelly is a trial and appellate lawyer focusing on employment litigation, business litigation, and criminal defense.  She regularly appears in federal district court, the North Carolina Business Court, and other North Carolina state courts.  She is the current president of the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.  In addition to serving on the CJA Panel Committee, she serves on the CJA Panels for the Eastern District of North Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
