Ellis & Winters is pleased to announce that Emily Reardon has joined the firm as an associate.

Ms. Reardon focuses her practice in the area of civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable James A. Beaty, Jr. in the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.

Ms. Reardon received her J.D., with high honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While in law school, she served as a comments editor for the North Carolina Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Ms. Reardon also worked with Professor Richard Rosen and the Racial Justice Act Research Project staff to conduct a statistical study on racial bias in North Carolina’s death penalty litigation.

Ms. Reardon received her B.A., with the highest distinction, in Psychology and Political Science from the University of North Carolina.
