Ellis & Winters attorneys Shields and Sitjar selected to LCLD Leadership Programs

Ellis & Winters is pleased to announce that Marcus Shields and Jaclyn ‘Jackie’ Sitjar have been named a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow and Pathfinder for 2023. Designed for experienced diverse lawyers, these landmark intensive year-long professional development programs connect high-potential diverse attorneys with leading general counsel, managing partners and their peers for mentoring and career guidance.

“Marcus and Jackie will be a great resource to their respective LCLD programs. We are honored they were selected and will represent Ellis & Winters in these prestigious programs,” said managing partner, Leslie Packer.

As experienced litigators at Ellis & Winters, Marcus and Jackie bring a vast array of legal and procedural knowledge to work on behalf of their clients. Marcus represents clients in complex commercial disputes and tort matters and served as District Court Judge over matters in every district courtroom in Guilford County, first appointed by Governor Roy Cooper and then through election. Jackie is an experienced litigation attorney in both private and government practice where she previously served the country in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps. She represents clients in complex commercial litigation and products liability defense matters.
