Overview

Kaitlin is a litigation attorney at Ellis & Winters and joined the firm after serving as a law clerk to Judge Julianna Theall Earp in the North Carolina Business Court. Her work included docket management, drafting and editing orders and opinions, legal research, assisting in hearings and trials, and training legal clerks and interns. She also served as a legal intern to Judge Michael L. Robinson of the North Carolina Business Court.

Currently, Kaitlin works in the firm’s Litigation Group and focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on business related matters including antitrust, trade secrets, and other business disputes.

Kaitlin earned her Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University School of Law where she served as comment editor for the University’s Law Review and was a member of the Willem Vis International Moot Court team. Prior to law school, she earned a B.S. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from North Carolina State University.

During her time away from work, Kaitlin enjoys reading fantasy novels and series and is always on the lookout for new releases by her favorite authors. She is a native North Carolinian with deep family roots in Siler City, the final resting place of “Aunt Bee” and a small town she deemed similar to Mayberry. Kaitlin and her family are avid football fans as her grandfather served as a local high school football coach throughout much of his career.
