2019 Pro Bono Honor Society Inductees Announced

The North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center announced its 2019 Pro Bono Honor Society Inductees yesterday. Each of the inductees reported providing 50 or more hours of pro bono legal services in 2019 to clients unable to pay – an aspirational threshold set by the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct.

Chief Justice Cheri Beasley said of the honor, “the provision of free legal services to those who cannot afford representation is not only encouraged by Rule of Professional Conduct 6.1, it is an affirmation of the highest ideals of our noble profession.”
