Alex J. Hagan Honored on NCLW’s “Power List” for Medical Malpractice Defense
Ellis & Winters’ CEO and managing partner, Alex J. Hagan, was included on the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly (NCLW) 2025 Medical Malpractice Power List. Alex also recently received encore recognition for commercial litigation on the NCLW’s 2025 Commercial and Consumer Power List.
NCLW Power List honorees are considered leaders in the areas of law in which they practice. NCLW uses a range of selection criteria that include leadership in the profession, knowledge of relevant law, and experience.
Alex’s practice includes product liability defense, as well as the defense of academic institutions, religious organizations, and health care providers. He has been frequently honored for his medical malpractice work and has been recognized in various publications. Alex also has extensive commercial litigation experience, representing software manufacturers, retail chains, and other product manufacturers in contract, trademark, and employment disputes. He has considerable jury trial experience in tort and commercial matters in both state and federal courts.
