Ellis & Winters is very pleased to welcome attorney Ashley Brathwaite. Ashley’s litigation practice will focus on medical malpractice and nursing home defense.

Prior to joining Ellis & Winters, Ashley practiced in the areas of criminal defense and litigation with Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog in Raleigh. There, she defended health care providers against medical malpractice allegations through a trial that resulted in a defense verdict. She also assisted health care facilities and providers with litigation-related Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) issues.

Ashley received her J.D. from Campbell University in 2005 and graduated from Furman University with a B.A. in 2000. She is licensed to practice in North and South Carolina.
