Ellis & Winters Welcomes Steven Scoggan

Ellis & Winters is pleased to announce that Steven Scoggan has joined the firm’s Greensboro office as an associate.

Mr. Scoggan focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, unfair trade practices, and antitrust law. Before joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable James L. Gale, Special Superior Court Judge for Complex Business Cases, on the North Carolina Business Court.

Mr. Scoggan received his J.D. from the Duke University School of Law. While in law school, he served as Articles and Comments Editor and Staff Editor for the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law & Public Policy. Mr. Scoggan was also the recipient of the North Carolina Bar Association Certificate of Achievement for Pro Bono Service.

Mr. Scoggan received his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
