Emily Melvin Appointed to Two NCBA Committees

Ellis & Winters attorney Emily Melvin has been appointed to the North Carolina Bar Association’s Women in the Profession Committee and the North Carolina Bar Foundation Development Committee for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

The Women in the Profession Committee aims to encourage and maintain the active participation and advancement of women in the NCBA and the legal industry through educational programs, awareness initiatives, and networking events that highlight the accomplishments of women attorneys.

The Foundation Development Committee provides volunteer leadership for all Foundation fundraising initiatives, including the Annual Fund Campaign, Endowment Gifts, Major Gifts Development, Planned Gifts, and Recognition Gifts.

Emily is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Team and concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, medical malpractice, class action litigation, and agricultural law.
