Falcone, Erixson and Scoggan Selected to Serve as Leadership on Defense Research Institute Young Lawyers Steering Committee

Ellis & Winters partner Jeremy Falcone and associates Emily Erixson and Steven Scoggan have been selected to serve as leadership for the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Young Lawyers Steering Committee.
Jeremy Falcone will serve on the Future Committee Engagement Subcommittee, which helps young lawyers continue their involvement with DRI as they transition out of the Young Lawyers committee. Mr. Falcone is a partner in the litigation group at Ellis & Winters LLP. In his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Falcone focuses on business disputes, employment matters, and securities claims. He also assists professionals to defend against malpractice suits and before licensing boards. Mr. Falcone has been named to North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine’s “Rising Stars” from 2013—2016.
Emily Erixson will serve as Co-Vice-Chair of the Young Women In The Law Subcommittee which is charged with assisting young women lawyers in handling issues that are unique to women in law. Ms. Erixson is an associate in the litigation group at Ellis & Winters LLP and focuses her practice in the area of civil litigation.
Steven Scoggan will serve as Co-Vice Chair of the Publications Subcommittee which provides an opportunity for young lawyers to publish articles in a national forum on topics affecting the practice of young defense lawyers. Mr. Scoggan is an associate in the litigation group at Ellis & Winters LLP. In his practice, he focuses on complex business litigation, appeals, products liability, and catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
