Jeremy Falcone Named to Board of Directors for Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast
Ellis & Winters partner Jeremy Falcone has been named to the Board of Directors for Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast. Mr. Falcone’s term on the board commenced July 2014.
“The mission of Susan G. Komen is important to all of us at Ellis & Winters,” explained Falcone. “We participate annually in the Race for the Cure with our team, Kristi’s Krew, and are proud to have been the top fundraiser in the Triangle for the last several years. I am honored to continue our involvement with Komen and serve such a noble cause.”
Mr. Falcone is a partner in the litigation group at Ellis & Winters LLP. He assists individuals and companies in all stages of litigation, splitting his practice between commercial and tort matters. Mr. Falcone received his juris doctor with high honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his bachelor’s magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He has been named to North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine’s “Rising Stars” list as well as Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite,” in the Young Guns category.

The Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Affiliate serves 29 counties in central and eastern North Carolina; holding two annual Race for the Cure events in Raleigh (June 14, 2014) and in Wilmington (March 7, 2015). Since its first Race in 1997, nearly $15 million has been raised and used locally for breast cancer research, education, advocacy, health services and social programs. Twenty five percent of net funds raised last year ($281,000) helped fund cutting-edge national breast cancer research to develop treatments and find a cure. Last year in the Triangle, $3.6 million in Komen national breast cancer research grants were given to Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
