Kelly Margolis Dagger has been named secretary of the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Ms. Dagger’s one-year term commenced in October 2015.

About Kelly Margolis Dagger

Ms. Dagger focuses her practice on commercial litigation, appeals, and criminal defense. She has represented clients at trial in a range of civil matters in state and federal courts as well as international commercial arbitration. Her experience includes higher education litigation, employment law, contract disputes, trade secrets, unfair and deceptive trade practices, antitrust law, and securities fraud. Ms. Dagger also represents clients in federal criminal defense matters, including trial, pleas, sentencing, and appeals, and maintains an active pro bono practice. In addition to her leadership position with the Federal Bar Association’s Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter, Ms. Dagger serves on the North Carolina Bar Association Appellate Practice Section Council as well as the board of directors for the SPCA of Wake County. Ms. Dagger joined Ellis & Winters after receiving her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an editor of California Law Review.

Founded in September 2011, the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter serves one of the largest and most diverse geographic districts in the circuit through regular programming and events. Membership comprises 44 North Carolina counties from Raleigh to the Atlantic coast. Officers of the FBA-EDNC Chapter are attorneys whose areas of practice include civil litigation, criminal defense, federal prosecution, intellectual property, appellate, and healthcare.
