Marcus Shields to Serve as Panelist at 2023 Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference
Ellis & Winters attorney, Marcus Shields, will serve as a panelist at this year’s Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference in Greensboro, NC. On behalf of the United States Court of Appeals, Shields will join current judges and attorneys who each have more than a decade of legal experience. The presentation will address “Balancing the Letter of the Ethical Rules with a Spirit of Professionalism and One’s Own Professional Identity.”
Marcus is a former District Court Judge for Guilford County and is currently the president of the Greensboro Bar Association. As a litigator at Ellis & Winters, Marcus brings his vast array of legal and procedural knowledge to bear representing clients in complex commercial disputes and tort matters. He is a passionate advocate for his clients, learning their business, understanding their goals and needs, and providing thoughtful and strategic representation.
