Peter Borden Selected for the 2026 Bar Leadership Institute
Peter N. Borden, an attorney in the firm’s Charlotte office, was selected for the 2026 Bar Leadership Institute (BLI) of the Mecklenburg Bar Association and the 26th Judicial District Bar. This year’s 20-member class was introduced at an annual kick-off event on Thursday, January 29th. The program recognized honorees with a celebratory dinner co-sponsored by Ellis & Winters.
Peter is a skilled litigation attorney who focuses his practice on complex commercial and civil litigation. He has broad experience in insurance, asbestos, and railroad defense, construction defects, breach of contractual obligations, and environmental defense issues. Additionally, Peter has served real estate clients with commercial collections disputes.
The primary focus of the Bar Leadership Institute is to identify and develop leaders for the 26th Judicial District Bar, the Mecklenburg Bar Association, and the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation by providing participating attorneys with the opportunity to connect with the greater Charlotte community. This includes prioritizing Bar and community issues with high-caliber peers and presenters. The BLI influences strong relationships amongst fellow participants to encourage lasting collegiality.
