Scottie Forbes Lee Named Leader in the Law by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly
North Carolina Lawyers Weekly has named Ellis & Winters partner Scottie Forbes Lee as a Leader in the Law. Leaders in the Law is an annual award that celebrates lawyers who are setting the standard for other lawyers.
Scottie joined Ellis & Winters in 2017, after serving a two-year clerkship on the North Carolina Business Court. She focuses her practice on business and product-liability litigation, appeals, and antitrust.
Scottie has an extensive resume of service to the bar and the courts. She serves on the editorial board of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Journal, on the leadership of the ABA Antitrust Law Section and the North Carolina Bar Association’s Appellate Practice and Antitrust & Complex Business Disputes Law Sections, and on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. She is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Appellate Rules Committee, which makes recommendations to the North Carolina Supreme Court on issues of appellate practice.
Scottie is a graduate of Campbell Law School, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Campbell Law Review. She earned an M.B.A. from Campbell University, and an M.P.A. and B.A. from North Carolina State University.
