Stephen Feldman Presents to Research Triangle Chapter of Association of Corporate Counsel
Ellis & Winters
On February 15, 2017, Ellis & Winters partner Stephen Feldman presented to the Research Triangle Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel on effective writing and editing in the in-house legal environment. Stephen made the presentation with Jeff Young, formerly a partner at Ellis & Winters, and now Chief Counsel for Litigation and Large Projects at ABB Inc.
The presentation touched on several topics, including how an in-house lawyer can tailor written communications to meet the expectations of the lawyer’s many diverse audiences. Stephen and Jeff also reviewed the perils of emails—and how in-house counsel can train clients to minimize email risks. In addition, Stephen and Jeff suggested ways for the effective coordination and editing of outside counsel’s written work product. A copy of their manuscript can be found at this link.
Stephen concentrates his practice in complex litigation, antitrust, and appeals. He partners with businesses on their most important legal matters, and emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, creative thinking, and attention to detail. Specific feedback on Stephen’s work can be found in the firm’s 2016 profile in Benchmark Litigation. In 2017, Business North Carolina named Stephen to its “Hall of Fame” for antitrust law.
