Overview

Sue Remley has spent her career working in legal marketing, business development and client relations. She began with Big Law, in-house and has since worked nationally with hundreds of lawyers and dozens of law firms of all sizes.

Sue founded and served as CEO of a regional legal marketing agency over twenty five years ago and later merged with a large national legal marketing agency, working with law firm clients across the country. Her consulting practice covered a wide range of activities including strategic planning, development and implementation of marketing and business development plans and programs, and business development training and coaching to attain new clients. She frequently speaks and publishes on legal marketing, business development, client relations, and business coaching.

Since joining Ellis & Winters, Sue’s focus is on business development and client relations. She enjoys working directly with attorneys, client, and practice teams to build business and serve the unique needs of each client. She engages with clients, conducting assessment interviews to ensure the firm’s service exceeds client expectations and to help provide solutions for specific client requests.

Named by Lawdragon as one of the top 100 legal consultants in the country, Sue is a founding member and past president of the Virginias Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA), the Rocky Mountain LMA Chapter and has served nationally on the President’s Committee and Member Value Task Force. She earned a B.S. in business with a concentration in marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s in marketing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She serves as a trustee on the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Carolinas Chapter Board, and volunteers with “kill-shelter” animal rescue.
