Ellis & Winters Wins Dismissal in United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire
On June 1, 2012, a large fire destroyed a manufacturing plant in Morelia, Mexico. Damages from the fire were estimated to be in the range of 75 million U.S. dollars. Andrew Chamberlin of Ellis & Winters LLP represented a major lighting manufacturer during the investigation of the fire and throughout the ensuring product liability litigation. On May 23, 2014, Judge Joseph N. LaPlante of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire granted the client’s motion to dismiss of forum non conveniens grounds.
